Your Home, Your Impact

A New Era of Home Decor

Your Home, Your Impact

At The Cabin Rose, we believe that home is more than just a house. It’s a sanctuary, a place of comfort, and a reflection of our values. We understand that capitalism can be all-consuming, and it can be challenging to navigate its complexities while staying true to our beliefs. That’s why we’ve created a space where you can make less guilt-inducing choices for your home decor.

We’re committed to using our platform to make a positive impact. A portion of our proceeds will be donated to organizations like WE ACT for Environmental Justice, the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, and The Duwamish Tribe. By choosing The Cabin Rose, you’re not only decorating your home; you’re also contributing to a more just and equitable world.

Founded by Mel Darling, a non-binary, trans-identifying individual with AuDHD and adjustment disorder, The Cabin Rose is a passion project born from intense burnout and the desire to leverage their sustainability expertise to create a more meaningful and sustainable lifestyle. With the support of their future wife, a cisgender psychologist working with LGBTQIA+ and marginalized communities, Mel is determined to use their platform to promote diversity, equity, and increased corporate environmental responsibility.

By investing in high-quality, durable pieces from The Cabin Rose, you’re not only reducing waste but also actively contributing to a more equitable future. A portion of your purchase directly supports organizations fighting against gender, social, racial, and environmental injustice.

Join us in creating a more whimsical and just future, one cozy home at a time.

Acknowledgment:
I am committed to ongoing learning and self-reflection to better understand how my privilege as a white, able-bodied individual has shaped my experiences and perspectives. I recognize that my privilege may limit my ability to fully empathize with the challenges faced by marginalized groups. I am committed to actively listening to the voices of marginalized communities and working to dismantle systems of oppression.

We acknowledge that we are on the traditional land of the first people of Seattle, the Duwamish People past and present. We honor with gratitude the land itself and the Duwamish Tribe, recognizing their enduring connection to this place.
